Mrs. Dana Jackson's class enjoys a tasty mid-morning snack of worms in a dirt cake after reading the book "I brought a Worm".  Apprehension soon turned to enjoyment as the children began munching down and posing for the camera!

First grade students started out the year scientifically.

Students in Mrs. Brown's, Mrs. Plant's, and Mrs. Wallace's classes  have started the year learning inquiry skills.  These are the scientific processes used in science investigations.   Students used four of their five senses (taste, sight, smell, and touch)to investigate various friuts (bananas, oranges, grapes,and apples).  Students then discussed their findings with other students in order to better understand scientific investigations.  They had such a wonderful time and they especially liked the fact that they were able to eat their experiment!

The week of September 24th - 28th

It is true!  We are bursting at the seams but we want you to know how much we are enjoying working with your child!  We have some of the most delightful students this year!

This coming week at school is Bus Safety Week.  Our students will be attending a special class to learn the safety rules for riding on a bus.

On Thursday, September 27th, at 6:00 p.m., our very own fifth grade student Trevon Cohens will be recognized by the Mayor of Palatka as September's Student of the Month.  We are so proud of Trevon!
