Palatka High School hosts the Putnam County School District's annual Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida Health fair from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wed. Jan. 11 for district employees and immediate family.
There are free goodie bags for all those who attend, a $5 Wal-Mart gift card and a free pedometer for completing a health assessment.
The health fair, sponsored by the school district's Wellness Committee, features cash prizes allotted to schools based upon the percentage of staff completing the health assessment.
Chef David Bearl of First Coast Technical College will give healthy cooking demonstrations in the afternoon.
