Palatka High School Link Crew members lead Freshmen Orientation for the third consecutive year Friday morning in the school's gym. The Link Crew program, led by PHS Assistant Principal Jana Wilhite, teams upperclassmen with incoming freshmen to ease first-year students' transition to high school life.
"I think it helps the kids be not as nervous, so they don't feel like they are coming into an overwhelming situation," said Link Crew member Alexia Williams, who will officially be a high school senior when school starts Aug. 22.
