We'll use this blog to share resources during and after this class. I hope you will also use it to discuss what you are learning and implementing in your classrooms . Comments are monitored, which means they are emailed to me before they are posted, but they should appear here fairly quickly since I check my email frequently. Monitoring comments on blogs is the district's recommended procedure. Notice that I didn't say it was the district's policy. We will talk about the difference and discuss some of the challenges that educators face as new technology is infused into our classrooms and lives.
Let's use an excellent web 2.0 resource to define web 2.0
I've advertised that we are going to explore several Google products that make collaborating easy but I hope we have time to look at several other resources as well. Pbwiki for example is too good to skip.
If you haven't registered for a gmail account please do that. It makes using all their products easier. Here's a page that gives you an overview of their tools. They add news ones all the time. Look in the Lab to see what's new.
I am looking forward to this class! Welcome and enjoy.

Google Docs, Wiki, etc....THIS IS GREAT INFO! MY CHILDREN ARE GOING TO BE SO MUCH SMARTER THAN ME. I'm such a concrete sequential learner that I'm confused as to why I'm here; other than to expand my vocabulary because my google skills are insuffucient.
